Nearly 500,000 chemical substances from CAS REGISTRY® cover areas of community interest, including common and frequently regulated chemicals, and those relevant to high school and undergraduate chemistry classes. This chemical information, curated by our expert scientists, is provided in alignment with our mission as a division of the American Chemical Society.
*CAS Source Index (CASSI) Search Tool (cassi.cas.org/search.jsp)* A resource for scientists and library workers who need a reliable bibliography information. It enables one to determine or to confirm journal titles and abbreviations that are included in Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Indexes from 1907.
*CheBi (ebi.ac.uk/chebi/)  ► Chemical Entities of Biological Interest (ChEBI) is a freely available dictionary of molecular entities focused on ‘small’ chemical compounds. The term ‘molecular entity’ refers to any constitutionally or isotopically distinct atom, molecule, ion, ion pair, radical, radical ion, complex, conformer, etc., identifiable as a separately distinguishable entity. The molecular entities in question are either products of nature or synthetic products used to intervene in the processes of living organisms.
*ChemDB Cheminformatics Portal (cdb.ics.uci.edu/)*A public database of small molecules available on the Web. ChemDB is built using the digital catalogs of over a hundred vendors and other public sources and is annotated with information derived from these sources as well as from computational methods, such as predicted solubility and three-dimensional structure. It supports multiple molecular formats and is periodically updated, automatically whenever possible.
*ChemExper Chemical Directory (www.chemexper.com)* A directory of chemical substances and their producers.
*ChemIndustry.com (www.chemindustry.com)*A database on pharma in biotech industry, scientific equipment etc. The site has a catalogue of books, journals, newsletters.
*Chemical Structure Lookup Service (cactus.nci.nih.gov)*An address book for chemical structures. The idea is to aggregate several free chemistry databases.
*ChemIDplus (chem.nlm.nih.gov/chemidplus/chemidlite)* Chemical database is a dictionary of over 400,000 chemicals (names, synonyms, and structures). ChemIDplus includes links to NLM and other databases and resources, including links to federal, state and international agencies. ChemIDplus Lite is designed for simple searching on name or registry. ChemIDplus Advanced helps users draw their own structures and perform similarity and substructure searches.
*ChemSpider (www.chemspider.com)*It is a free access service providing a structure centric community for chemists. Providing access to millions of chemical structures and integration to a multitude of other online services, ChemSpider is the richest single source of structure-based chemistry information.
*ChemSynthesis (www.chemsynthesis.com)* СhemSynthesis is a data base of chemical substances which contains also information on their synthesis methods and physical properties like density, melting point, boiling point etc.
*ChemView (chemview.epa.gov/chemview/)*Please use this page to find information on health and security presented by EPA and controlled by Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). This information is a part of EPA attempt to increase the transparency of TSCA information presented by the agency. It is aimed for people that are interested to know more about chemicals produced or imported in USA.
*The Conservation and Art Materials Encyclopedia Online (cameo.mfa.org/)  ►The Conservation and Art Materials Encyclopedia Online (CAMEO) is a database that compiles, defines, and disseminates technical information on the distinct collection of terms, materials, and techniques used in the fields of art conservation and historic preservation. First developed as a materials database in 1997 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston it has expanded with the cooperation of multiple institutions to include several reference collections. CAMEO is an electronic database developed by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. It provides technical information on terms, materials, and techniques used in art conservation.
